THREE OWLS NAMED TO 2001 ATLANTIC 10 FIELD HOCKEY ALL CONFERENCE TEAM

PHILADELPHIA --Three members of the Temple field hockey team were named to the 2001 Atlantic 10 All Conference team. Senior midfielder Kacy Ziomek Sweet Valley,PA./Lake-Lehman), Junior midfielder Virginia Gonzalez (Reading,PA./Twin Valley) and senior Joann Engestrom (Middletown,MD./Middletown).

Ziomek appeared in all 19 games, recording one goal, one assist and recording three points. Gonzalez appeared in all 19 games posting seven goals, one assist and recording a team-high 15 points. Engestrom recorded five goals, one assist and posted 11 points.

The Owls finished the season with a record of

(8-11 overall and 2-4 in the Atlantic 10 Conference, finishing fifth in the conference.
