LYNN GREER NAMED BIG 5 PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE WEEK

Temple senior guard Lynn Greer capped off a great individual week by being named the Big Five Player of the Week for the second straight week. The All-America candidate averaged 32.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists during a three-game stretch, including a career-high 47 points in the Owls' 70-67 double-overtime win at Wisconsin. His 47 points were the third highest single-game total in Owl history behind Bill Mlkvy (73 points vs, Wilkes) and Hal Lear (48 vs. Connecticut). Greer is currently second in the nation in scoring, averaging 27.3 ppg.

The Owls are idle until Tuesday, December 18th when they take on nationally-ranked Alabama at 7:00 p.m. in the first game of the Jimmy V. Classic doubleheader at the Continental Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The second game pits No. 1 Duke against No. 10 Kentucky.
