Temple's Lynn Greer Invited To USA Basketball Men's National Team Trials

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple senior point guard Lynn Greer is one of 45 players invited to participate in the USA Basketball Men's National Team trials by the USA Basketball Men's Collegiate Committee chaired by University of Virginia athletic director Terry Holland. The committee will select the finalist for two teams the 2001 USA Basketball World Championship for Young Men Qualifying Team and the 2001 USA Basketball World University Games Team. Team trials will begin Friday, June 1 through Sunday June 3 at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Greer helped the Owls reached the NCAA "Elite Eight". He led the nation in minutes played with 39.6 minutes per game; he played 1465 out of a possible 1490 minutes during the season. He led the Owls in points per game 18.2, assists per game 5.5 and free throw percentage .868. Greer earned Atlantic 10 All Conference and All- Defensive Team honors.
