Under eighth-year head coach Lauren Fuchs, the Temple field hockey team posted a level 11-11 mark for the season and finished second in the Atlantic 10 Conference ... In a typically tough non-conference schedule, the Owls won two of three to open the season, but lost four of the next five before defeating La Salle in the A-10 Conference opener ... Other than a hard-fought 2-1 loss to eventual A-10 Champion Massachusetts, the Owls were perfect in regular-season A-10 Conference play ... The team rallied to win six of its last eight games, three of which were conference matches ... As the No. 2 seed in a second-straight A-10 Tournament appearance, the Owls defeated host Rhode Island in the first round, 4-3 in triple overtime to qualify for the finals ...
