Philadelphia- Temple's Melissa DeCesaris earned a spot on the 2002 Mid Atlantic Region STX/NFHCA Division I second team.
DeCesaris (Shavertown, Pa./Lake Lehman) , a junior led the Owls in goals (eight), points (19), shots (61), game-winning goals (eight)and defensive saves (eight). She also had three assists and started all 19 of the Owls games.
The Owls finished the season with an overall record of 9-10 and 2-4 in the Atlantic 10 Conference narrowly missing Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament.
