PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University women's volleyball team (25-6, 13-1 A-10) defeated the Manhattan Jaspers three games to one on November 27, 2002 at McGonigle Hall. The game scores were 30-14, 30-24, 28-30 and 30-22.
The Owls were led by outside hitter and Atlantic 10 Player of the Year Xu Yun with 22 kills and 21 digs and outside hitter Yamit Haba with 20 kills and 13 digs. Outside hitter Liu Shu contributed 13 kills and 17 digs while Atlantic 10 Setter of the Year, Alison Runk had 55 assists.
The Jaspers were led by outside hitters Lauren Belcher with 18 kills and Amy O'Dorisio with 12 kills and nine digs. Setter Bridgett Geddes had 30 assists.
The Cherry and White will travel to American on Saturday, November 30 to play their season finale. Match time is 7:00 p.m.
