ALEX WESBY NAMED BIG FIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Senior forward Alex Wesby was named the Big Five Player of the Week on Monday, Dec. 30 after scoring 26 points in leading Temple to a 71-64 upset win over No. 10 Indiana on Saturday, Dec. 28 at the Liacouras Center.

The Philadelphia native shot 10-for-19 from the field including three-for-four from beyond the arc. While playing a full 40 minutes, Wesby also pulled down five rebounds in addition to his three assists and three steals.

With his 26 points, Wesby is now just 111 points shy of 1,000 for his career and is 55 rebounds away from 500 career rebounds.

The Owls travel over to the mainline on Tuesday, December 31st, for a non-conference and Big Five matchup against Villanova at 4:00 p.m.
