COACH CHANEY HOSPITALIZED WITH MILD PNEUMONIA, LISTED IN GOOD CONDITION

PHILADELPHIA-Temple University men's head basketball coach John Chaney was admitted to Temple University Hospital on Sunday, Dec. 8 with a mild case of pneumonia and will remain hospitalized at least through Tuesday, Dec. 10. He is currently listed in good condition.
Should Chaney be unavailable for the Owls' upcoming game at Penn State on Wednesday (Dec. 11), the team will be coached by first-assistant Nate Blackwell, assisted by Dan Leibovitz and Bill Ellerbee. Temple's next contest is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 14, against Illinois at the United Center in Chicago.
Coach Chaney's progress for return to all team activities will be considered
day-to-day.
