GREER CAPTURES ANOTHER AWARD

The rewards for a super senior season keep mounting for Temple's Lynn Greer. The 6'2" guard was named to the First Team of the 2001-02 United States Basketball Writers Association All-District I Team. The 2001-02 USBWA All-District team comprises the Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Connecticut areas.

Greer finished the regular season averaging 22.7 points per game and 39.8 minutes played per contest. He had a career-high 47 points in the Owls 70-67 double-overtime win at Wisconsin and capped off the regular season by scoring 36 points and the game-winning basket with :02 left in Temple's dramatic 87-84 double-overtime win against Saint Joseph's at the Palestra on Sunday, March 3.

Greer averaged 25.3 points per game in the last 10 regular season games (in which the Owls are currently 9-1) after being held to a season-low four points in a 80-61 loss at North Carolina State back on January 26th.
