TEMPLE'S LYNN GREER NAMED BIG FIVE'S MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER

Temple's Lynn Greer capped a fabulous career by being named the Big Five's Most Outstanding Player and will receive the Robert V. Geasey Trophy at the Club's 57th annual banquet on Monday, April 22 at Colleen's at 22nd Street and The Parkway in Philadelphia.

Greer will also presented the Palumbo Trophy as the Big Five's top scorer (719 points). The 6-2 senior guard ended his career as the second highest men's scorer in Temple history with 2,099 points. He scored a career high 47 points against Wisconsin (12-3-01) and set a record for the most points in a game at The Liacouras Center, when he poured in 43 points against Fordham on January 30, 2002.

Joining Greer on the first All-Big Five team are Marvin O'Connor and Jameer Nelson of Saint Joseph's, La Salle's Rasaul Butler, Penn's Ugonna Onyekwe and Villanova's Ricky Wright. The second team includes Temple's David Hawkins, Penn's Andrew Toole and Koko Archibong, Villanova's Gary Buchanan and Bill Phillips of Saint Joseph's.
