MEHAFFEY NAMED ATLANTIC 10 FIELD HOCKEY ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA- Dannon Mehaffey was named Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week in field hockey for the week ending September 8.

Mehaffey, a true freshman hails from Bridgeton, New Jersey and attended Cumberland Regional High School.Mehaffey played in two games last week against top ten competition North Carolina and Iowa in the Temple Invitational Tournament. She created two offensive corner and recorded four interceptions in Temple's 2-1 loss to Iowa on September 8.

Temple (0-3) will visit Penn State on Friday September 13 at 5p.m.The Owls next home game is on Sunday September 15 at 12 noon at Geasey Field against Hofstra (4-0).
