IOWA HANDS TEMPLE 2-1 DEFEAT IN THE TEMPLE INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT, LOUISVILLE WILL MEET IOWA IN CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

The Hawkeyes kept constant pressure on the Owls (0-2) and goalkeeper, Erin Conroy (New York, NY/Centereach), who was just sensational in stopping nine of 11 shots.
LaSovage put the Hawkeyes on top with an unassisted goal with 14:18 remaining in the first half. Iowa maintained its pressure throughout the remaining minutes of the first half but was unable to score.
Dawson scored after a short corner resulted in a scramble in front of the Owls net. Conroy made one save but Dawson was there in front to guide in the Hawkeyes second goal.
The Owls finally scored with :55 seconds remaining. Rachel Kasper (Hunlock Creek, PA/Lake Lehman) scored off assists from Melissa DeCesaris (Shavertown, PA/Lake Lehman) and Haley Dervinis (Larksville, PA/Wyoming Valley West) to bring the Owls to within one, but that's the way the tightly played contest ended.
The Owls (0-2) will now take on national power North Carolina (1-2), (who dropped 3-2 overtime game to Louisville in the second game)in the consolatipon game at Geasy Field on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Iowa will take on Louisville in the championship game at 1:30 p.m.
