TEMPLE VOLLEYBALL EXITS IKON HUSKY CLASSIC ON A WINNING NOTE

9.7.02 | Women's Volleyball

Storrs, Conn. - The Temple University volleyball team (3-2, 0-0) defeated the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (1-5, 0-0) in its final match of the IKON Husky Classic 3-0 on September 7. The game scores were 30-27, 30-20 and 36-34.

Junior Liu Shu led the Owls with 18 kills and 10 digs. Fellow juniors Xu Yun (16 kills, 25 digs, 4 blocks) and Margaret Majewska (14 kills, 17 digs) also shined for Temple. Senior Solana Lee had a game-high 30 assists while sophomore setter Alison Runk dished out 18 assists in the win.

Sarah Potts Led UWM with nine kills and 12 digs. Lindsey Spoden led in the assist department with 27 helpers.

Xu Yun was named to the all-tournament team for her stellar play throughout the weekend.
