Temple (5-11, 3-3) looks to establish its first win streak of the season when it meets Dayton (12-3, 4-0) this Saturday at the Liacouras Center. The contest will be televised live in the Philadelphia area on Comcast SportsNet. It is one of 22 Temple men's basketball games scheduled to be televised this season.

Temple and Dayton are meeting for the 17th time in a series that dates back to 1957, with Temple holding a 11-5 advantage in victories, including six straight and eight of the last nine.

Temple is coming off a 71-68 victory at Rhode Island last Wednesday night in the Owls' first visit to the Ryan Center. Temple overcame a 16-point first half deficit to defeat the Rams for the sixth consecutive time. The victory, following last Saturday's 82-51 win over Fordham, marked TU's first back-to-back wins of the season. Trailing 41-32 at the break, the Owls opened the second half on a 12-2 run. Temple established an 11-point second half lead before URI reduced the visitors advantage to two points with 18 seconds remaining. Two David Hawkins free throws a second later, however, ensured the win. Hawkins was one of four Owls in double-digits, depositing a game high 18 points.

Dayton is coming off a 71-61 win at George Washington last Saturday, their fifth straight victory after a 85-74 loss at Duke on Dec. 29. Nate Green scored 15 points and Keith Waleskowski grabbed 13 rebounds versus the Colonials. Senior Brooks Hall leads the Flyers in the scoring column, averaging 13.8 points per game.

Dayton and Temple have faced four common opponents this season. The Owls defeated George Washington (68-65) but lost to Richmond (61-42), Villanova (70-62) and Duquesne (61-54). The Flyers defeated all four, topping G.W., Richmond (66-53), Villanova (80-78) and Duquesne (77-72).
