LINDSAY HOLMAN AND HALEY DERVINIS NAMED A-10 FIELD HOCKEY ROOKIE AND CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Dervinis, who is second on the Owls' all-time assists list with 40. She had a pair of game-winning assists as the Owls completed an undefeated week with two, 1-0 road conference shutouts. She also is the Owls' leading scorer with 13 points on nine assists and two goals. Temple defeated UMass on Friday and Rhode Island on Sunday to start conference play with a 2-0 record.
Holman scored the winning goal on a penalty corner with no time remaining in regulation lifting the Owls to a 1-0 win over Rhode Island on Sunday. She has appeared in 12 games with three starts, scoring two goals for four points on the season. The Owls are 3-0 since Holman has been placed in the starting line up.
Temple 7-6, 2-0 in the A-10 has won three straight games all by shutouts and has held its opponents scoreless for the last 222 minutes of action. Four of the Owls' six losses have been to teams in the Top 15 and 12 of their 13 games have been decided by one goal this season.
Temple will host cross-town foe the Penn Quakers on Wednesday, October, 15 at 3:30 p.m.
