FIELD HOCKEY FLIES PAST LA SALLE TO REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN A-10

The Owls' Katie Stevenson had a goal(unassisted) and an assist to help Temple remain undefeated in the A-10. The win improves the Owls' record to 8-7, 3-0 in the A-10 while, the Explorers' fell to 7-8 and 1-1 in A-10 play.
Temple's Andrea Duva scored the lone goal of the first half off an assist from Stevenson with 24:36 remaining in the first half giving the Owls a 1-0 led at intermission. La Salle's Sara Camilli scored 10 seconds into the second half off an errant Owls' pass to tie the score at 1-1.
Temple's Rachel Kasper scored off a pass from Caitlyn Bowers giving the Owls' a lead 2-1. Stevenson followed eight minutes later with the winner to keep the Owls' record unblemished in conference play.
The Explorers' Allison Geiger added a goal at the eight minute mark to narrow the score to 3-2.
Owls goalie Erin Conroy had three saves; she was replaced by Mary Beth Zakrzrewski, who posted one save in 4:20. La Salle keeper Collen Bolger recorded six saves.
Temple out-shot La Salle 18-6 and held 9-5 advantage in penalty corners.
The Owls will host another local A-10 Conference foe in West Chester on Sunday, October 19 at noon.
