KATIE STEVENSON EARNS ECAC CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA- Owls sophomore Katie Stevenson earned the Earned ECAC co-Player of the Week with Boston University's Celeste Hubbard for the week ending October 20. Stevenson had two unassisted game winning goals in conference wins over La Salle and West Chester as the Owls remained undefeated in the A-10 Conference. She also was named A-10 Player of the Week.

Stevenson had a goal and an assist in the Owls' 3-2 win over La Salle on Saturday. She scored the winner four minutes into overtime in Temple's 6-5 win over West Chester to clinch a spot in the A-10 postseason tournament.

This season Stevenson has appeared in 15 games with 11 starts, scoring two goals and one assist for five points.

Temple 9-7, 4-0 in A-10 Conference play has won five of its last six games, four of the Owls' seven losses have been to teams in the Top 15 and 14 of their 16 games have been decided by one goal this season.

Temple will next visit A-10 co-leader and No.13 Richmond Spiders in a battle for first place and a possible top seed in the A-10 Conference Field Hockey Championships on Friday (Oct.24) at 3:00 p.m.
