MEN'S BASKETBALL TOPS EA SPORTS IN FINAL TUNEUP BEFORE OPENING SEASON

PHILADELPHIA -- Senior guard David Hawkins tallied 27 points to lead Temple to a 90-75 win over EA Sports All-Stars in the Owls final exhibition game before opening the season next Thursday, November 20 at Midnight against the Villanova Wildcats. Hawkins, who hit on 9-of-20 from the field and also led the Owls with six assists, was one of four TU players to reach double figures.

Freshman Dustin Salisbery, who looks to has secured the starting slot at small forward, scored 20 points on 8-of-15 from the field. Sophomore Antywane Robinson posted his second straight double-double, hitting for 12 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Fellow sophomore Mardy Collins added 17 points and dished five assists against zero turnovers.

Sophomore Micheal Blackshear continued to impress on the offensive glass. The 6-6 forward pulled down six offensive rebounds among his 10 total boards in 25 minutes off the bench. He also added six points on 3-of-5 shooting.

Mark Jones and Johnny Parker led EA Sports with 17 points each.
