Hawkins, who hit 5-of-10 from behind the three-point line, was one of four Temple players in double figures. Sophomores Mardy Collins added 15 points and a team-high six assists against just one turnover while freshman Dustin Salisbery made his debut for the Cherry and White in fine fashion, tallying 12 points, grabbing seven rebounds and recording a team-high four steals.
Sophomore Keith Butler was also impressive, posting a double-double with 10 points and a team-high 12 rebounds. Fellow sophomore Antwayne Robinson grabbed 11 rebounds while posting eight points to round out the Owls' starting five.
Braith Cox led the visiting Australian club team with 25 points while Jason Cameron added 21.
The Owls will next play EA Sports All-Stars on Friday, November 14 at the Liacouras Center before opening for real against Villanova at the Liacouras Center on Friday morning, November 21 (12:01 a.m.).
