DAVID HAWKINS SELECTED TO SECOND TEAM PRESEASON ALL-ATLANTIC 10 SQUAD AT ANNUAL MEDIA DAY

PHILADELPHIA - Senior guard David Hawkins has been selected to the Atlantic 10 preseason second team all-conference as voted on by the league coaches and selected media. The A-10 all-conference teams were released as part of the league's Men's Basketball Media Day held at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott on Thursday morning, November 6.

Also announced at the Media Day was the preseason polls selected by the coaches and media. Saint Joseph's and Xavier have been tabbed as the teams to beat in the Atlantic 10 men's basketball race, while Temple was picked to finish second to the nationally-ranked Hawks in the East.

The league also announced the additions of Charlotte and Saint Louis to the conference beginning with the 2005-06 season.
