TEMPLE UNIVERSITY ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT TO SLAM DUNK HUNGER AT BASKETBALL GAMES ON DECEMBER 13 AND DECEMBER 15
12.11.03 | Men's Basketball
"This is a great opportunity for our fans to support such a worthwhile organization as the Greater Philadelphia Food Bank," said Bill Bradshaw, Temple's Director of Athletics. "Plus, although we are obviously encouraging all patrons who already have tickets to bring food items, it is a way for college basketball fans across the Philadelphia area to check out great games for as low as $6."
Over the past two seasons, the Slam Dunk Hunger campaign has brought in more than 12,500 pounds of food to help feed the needy in the area. The Greater Philadelphia Food Bank distributes food donations to nearly 800 local non-profit organizations to fight hunger and feed approximately 57,000 people each week through Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. This marks the fifth year that Temple Athletics has partnered with the Greater Philadelphia Food Bank.
Tickets for Temple Basketball at $10, $15, $20, $26 and $35 are available at the Liacouras Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations throughout the Delaware Valley. Tickets can also be charged by phone by calling Ticketmaster at (215) 336-2000, (856) 338-9000 or (302) 984-2000. Temple Basketball offers a family four-pack, which includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $40.
