FIELD HOCKEY HOSTS #15 DELAWARE ON WEDNESDAY AT 3:30 P.M.

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple field hockey team will play its fourth Top 15 opponent of the season in #15 Delaware (6-2) on Wednesday (3:30 p.m.) at Geasey Field. The Owls (4-4) are coming off a 1-0 road loss to #9 Iowa on Sunday.

Three of Temple's four losses have been to Top 10 ranked teams in #9 Iowa, #6 Penn State and #2 North Carolina. The combined record of the three teams is 19-3.

The Owls' leading scorer is senior Haley Dervinis with 11 points; she currently is tied for third on Temple's all-time assists list (38) with Kathleen Barrett (1982-85) and is one assist shy of second place with Caroline McWilliams (1980-83) with 39.

Two Owls earned A-10 honors this week in junior goalkeeper Erin Conroy (co-Player of the Week) and redshirt freshman forward Monica Jiao (Rookie of the Week).Conroy is having an excellent season posting 104 saves, .881 save percentage, 1.78 goals against average and a 4-4 record against some of the best teams in the nation. Jiao won the Rookie of the Week award for the second time this for her game-winning assist in the Owls' 3-2 win over Ball State on Saturday.
