HALEY DERVINIS NAMED ATLANTIC 10 CONFERENCE FIELD HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University senior midfielder Haley Dervinis has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending September 7.

Dervinis, a native of Larksville, PA (Wyoming West Valley HS), tallied a goal and an assist in the Owls 4-1 win over Providence in the opening round of the Temple Invitational on Saturday, September 6. In the title game against national power North Carolina, Dervinis assisted on Temple's lone goal in a 6-1 loss.

Along with her four points on the week, Dervinis also attempted eight shots and compiled six interceptions in the contest. The Cherry & White midfielder has helped Temple to a 3-1 record, leading the team in scoring with two goals and five assists for nine points.

The Owls next play Penn State on Wednesday afternoon (3:30 p.m.) at Geasey Field.
