FIELD HOCKEY FALLS TO DREXEL, 3-1, ON SENIOR DAY

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple field hockey team lost its final home game of the season 3-1 to Drexel on Senior Day Wednesday afternoon at Geasey Field. The Dragons' Amanda Mouser tallied a goal and an assist in the game to lead the visitors. The win raises the Dragons' record to 6-9 overall while the loss drops the Owls to 7-9 on the year.

 

Mouser opened the scoring on an unassisted goal in the 11th minute. Elizabeth Seidel added the second goal of the contest in the 19th minute off an assist from Mouser. 

 

Lindsay Holman tallied Temple's lone goal of the game in the 53rd minute to narrow the deficit to 2-1.

 

Heather Bloemker concluded the scoring with a goal in the 66th minute to seal the win for Drexel.

 

Temple goalie Erin Conroy had five saves while the Dragons net minder Katie Dougherty had six saves in 70 minutes.

 

The Owls will visit La Salle on Saturday (Oct.23) at noon in a key A-10 contest.
