TYNDALE EARNS SECOND A-10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK CITATION

PHILADELPHIA - Freshman Mark Tyndale earned his second Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week honor for the week ending December 11. Tyndale averaged 17.5 ppg., 6.0 rpg. in two games.
The Philadelphia native (Simon Gratz HS) scored a career-high 22 points at Alabama on Saturday in a 75-71 loss and also tallied 13 points in a win over Penn (12/8). His other Rookie of the Week citation came for the week ending November 20.
On the year, Tyndale ranks second on the Owls in scoring with a 14.6 average. He has been in double figures in six of seven games while just missing double digits at Georgetown (nine points). He aslo leads Temple in free throw percentage (.767) while ranking third in rebounding with a 5.1 average.
