DAVID HAWKINS NAMED TO NABC ALL-DISTRICT TEAM

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University senior guard David Hawkins too a step closer to making his All-America candidacy a reality when he was named to the five-man NABC all-District 3 first team. The 6-foot-5 Washington, DC native was joined on the squad by the Saint Joseph's backcourt tandem of Jameer Nelson and Delonte West, Seton Hall's Andre Barrett and Pitt's Carl Krauser.

Hawkins, who leads the Atlantic 10 Conference and ranks third nationally in scoring with a 24.4 average, brings a streak of 17 straight games with 20-or-more points scored into Saturday's game against #2 Saint Joseph's (4:00 p.m./CSN/WPHT 1210 AM).
