PHILADELPHIA - Temple University senior guard David Hawkins has been named honorable mention All-America by the Associated Press. Hawkins is one of four Atlantic 10 Conference players honored by the AP. He joins Saint Joseph's Jameer Nelson, an unanimous first team selection, and Saint Joseph's Delonte West and Xavier's Romain Sato, both honorable mention selections.

Hawkins, a second team All-America selection by CBSsportsline.com, led the Atlantic 10 with a 24.4 scoring average. The 6-5 guard also ranked third in the league in steals (2.70 per game) and second in three-pointers made (2.9 per game). He earned his third A-10 Player of the Week award on Sunday and was named National Player of the Week by ESPN.com's Dick Vitale the final week of the regular season.

A first team all-District selection by both the NABC and the USWBA, Hawkins is just the third Temple player and 10th in A-10 history to score 2000 points. He ended his career with 2,077 career points.
