Newark, Del.- Delaware's Amanda Warrington scored two first half goals as NO.14 Delaware defeated Temple 5-0 on Wednesday evening at Delaware's Rullo Stadium. The win lifts Delaware's record to 5-3, while Temple's record falls to 4-5 on the season.

Three of the Owls' five losses have been to teams in the Top 20 (American, Penn State and Delaware). Temple ends a five-game road stand 2-3. Six of the Owls' next seven games are home and their one away game is a night game at Penn.

The Blue Hens scored three first half goals in a four minute span and added two late goals in the 60th and 64th minute. Delaware goalie Megan Allen had seven saves and Temple net minder Erin Conroy posted nine saves in the contest.

The Blue Hens out-shot the Temple, 19-7, while also holding a slight advantage of 5-4 in corners.

The Owls will have a week and a half to recoup as they will meet Cornell at Geasey Field on Saturday October 2 at noon
