MEN'S BASKETBALL TO HOST ST. BONAVENTURE WEDNESDAY NIGHT

PHILADELPHIA - After traversing the toughest non-conference schedule in the nation, the Temple Owls will play Atlantic 10 Conference competition the remainder of the season starting with the St. Bonaventure Bonnies Wednesday night at the Liacouras Center (7:00 p.m./WPHT 1210 AM).Temple (6-7, 2-0 in A-10 play) will be looking to extend its unbeaten streak at home against the Bonnies (1-13, 0-3) to 24 games. The Owls have won five straight in the series and own a 43-6 edge overall.
Junior Mardy Collins continues to lead the Owls attack. The 6-6 point guard leads the nation in steals per game (3.8 spg.) while topping Temple and ranking second in the Atlantic 10 in scoring (16.6 ppg.). Collins also leads the Owls and is fourth in the conference in assists per game (4.8 apg.). Freshman Mark Tyndale (12.8 ppg.) and sophomore Dustin Salisbery (12.5 ppg.) provide Hall of Fame coach John Chaney with two potent scoring options from the wing. Sophomore Wayne Marshall (8.1 ppg.) leads the Owls in rebounding with a 5.0 average.
Junior guards Wade Dunston (11.7 ppg.) and Ahmad Smith (11.4 ppg.) lead the Bonnies. Dunston has been hot of late for coach Anthony Solomon's squad, averaging 17.7 points per game in A-10 play.
The Bonnies will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak this season and a five-game drought against the Owls. The last SBU win in the series came on January 16, 2002 in Olean, NY.
