PHILADELPHIA, PA - Tickets go on sale Monday morning at 10:00 for the 29th annual Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship which will be held at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati.
Cincinnati will host the A-10 Championship for the first time, March 9-12. Nestled on the banks of the Ohio River, U.S. Bank Arena was built in 1975 and is Cincinnati's largest indoor arena. Though it has been through numerous name changes and renovations, the Arena has always been known for bringing top-level events to Cincinnati.
Ticket packages are priced at $300 for VIP seating and $140 and $120 for reserved seating. Only 11-game ticket packages are available.
The format of the 29th annual Championship features four opening round games taking place at Wednesday, March 9 with the doubleheaders starting at 12:00pm and 6:30pm. The winners will then join the top two seeds from each division for quarterfinal round action on Thursday, March 10, also at 12:00pm and 6:30pm. The semifinal doubleheader will begin at 6:30pm on Friday, March 11, with the final round being played on Saturday, March 12 at 6:00pm.
Tickets may be purchased in person at the U.S. Bank Arena box office (Monday- Friday 10:00am - 5:00pm), at the Liacouras Center Box Office, TicketMaster outlets including select Kroger stores in the Cincinnati area, on-line at ticketmaster.com (type "us bank arena" in the venue box), or by phone at 513-562-4949.Temple fans wishing to sit with fellow Owl supporters are encouraged to purchase tickets from the Liacouras Center Box Office.
U.S. Bank Arena will be the eighth facility to host the Atlantic 10 Championship. The 2003 and 2004 Atlantic 10 Championships were played at the University of Dayton Arena. Other arenas which have hosted the event are the Spectrum (Philadelphia), Pittsburgh Civic Arena, WVU Coliseum (Morgantown, WV), Rutgers Athletic Center (Piscataway, NJ), Meadowlands Arena (East Rutherford, NJ), and The Palestra (Philadelphia).
