KENNEDY HONORED AS ATLANTIC 10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA -Temple freshman field hockey player Kendra Kennedy has been voted the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 2.

Kennedy made her first collegiate start over the weekend, a game in which the Owls were defeated 2-1 by the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers. The freshman last saw action in the second half against Penn State (9/14) when she stopped three shots while allowing one goal.

Temple is currently 4-8 overall and untested as of yet in A-10 play. The Owls take on Penn on Wednesday, October 5 at 3:30 p.m. and begin conference play on Friday, October 7 against West Chester at 3 p.m.
