PHILADELPHIA -- Fourteen Temple University men's basketball games will be televised live in the Philadelphia market, including five contests that will air nationally, announced Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw.
"We are extremely pleased that our fans will be able to see a majority of our games on television," Bradshaw said. "Temple continues to be attractive to the college basketball community which is evidenced by this exposure."
Owl games against Alabama (Dec. 10), Maryland (Jan. 28) and Saint Joseph's (Feb. 14) will be televised live on ESPN2 while the team's games against Massachusetts (Jan. 21) and Duke (Feb. 25) will be aired on ESPN. Five additional contests -- Miami-FL (Nov. 27), Auburn (Dec. 18), Villanova (Dec. 31), George Washington (Jan. 4) and Massachusetts (Feb. 1) -- will be televised regionally by CN8.
Three Temple contests will be picked up by the Atlantic 10 Television Network, which distributes its games throughout the league's markets. Those games, which will be carried locally on Comcast SportsNet, include both La Salle contests (Jan. 14 & Feb. 4) and the Owls' January 8 game against Saint Joseph's.
Temple's game against Penn (Dec. 3), which is part of the Big 5 Classic, will be produced by Comcast SportsNet.
