TEMPLE-VILLANOVA MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME IS A SELLOUT

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple University's men's basketball game against third-ranked Villanova on Saturday, December 31 at The Palestra is sold out, announced Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw. The New Year's Eve Philadelphia Big 5 contest between the Owls (6-3, 1-0 in Big 5 play) and the Wildcats (8-0, 2-0) will be televised live by CN8. Tip-off is slated for 4:00 p.m.
"This is no surprise as there has been a tremendous amount of interest and excitement about this game," said Bradshaw. "It looks to be the first of possibly four sellouts as the games against Maryland (Jan. 28) and Saint Joseph's (Feb. 14) are selling extremely well and our showdown with #1 Duke at the Wachovia Center (Feb. 25) is close to a sellout."
