PHILADELPHIA-- The Temple men's basketball team opens a two-game road trip with a Wednesday game (7:00 p.m.) against the Duquesne (6-17, 3-7). The Owls (11-10, 7-3) will then travel straight to Richmond for a Saturday night contest with the Spiders.

Head coach John Chaney's team will look to right itself after falling to Saint Joseph's, 69-57, at The Palestra in an Atlantic 10 East Division showdown. The Owls are now two games behind the Hawks in their quest to win the regular season title.

Junior All-America candidate Mardy Collins continues to lead the Owls. Collins, who tallied 23 points against SJU, tops the Cherry and White in scoring (17.0 ppg.), assists (3.9 apg.) and steals (2.9 apg.). Freshman guard Mark Tyndale, a four-time A-10 Rookie of the Week selection, leads Temple in rebounding (5.3 rpg.) and ranks second in scoring (13.6 ppg.). Sophomore guard Dustin Salisbery, questionable this week due to a sprained left ankle, also averages double-figure points (12.0 ppg.).

Duquesne is led by junior Bryant McAllister (16.2 ppg.). The Duke guard ranks fourth in the conference in scoring while leading the league in free throw percentage (.824). Sophomore center Keiron Achara leads Duquesne in rebounding (6.6 rpg.) and ranks second is scoring (12.5 ppg.) while junior guard Jack Higgins (10.3 ppg.) also tops double figures.

The Dukes defeated the Owls in their last meeting at the Palumbo Center, 61-54 on January 8. That broke a string of eight straight Temple wins in the series. TU owns a 33-12 all-time advantage between the A-10 schools.
