TYNDALE NAMED A-10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK FOR FOURTH TIME

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple freshman guard Mark Tyndale earned his fourth Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week honor for his play during the week that ended February 5. Tyndale averaged 15.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists in the Owls' two games.
Against Rhode Island on February 2, the Philadelphia native (Simon Gratz HS) scored 14 points, grabbed six rebounds, dished a career-high seven assists and made four steals to help lead the Owls to a 74-54 win at the Liacouras Center. Playing despite a bruised knee against George Washington (2/5), Tyndale came off the bench for the first time in his young career to lead Temple in scoring with 17 points. He also tied his career high with nine rebounds while distributing three assists.
For the season, the 6-5 two guard ranks second on the team in scoring (13.6 ppg.), assists (2.5 apg.) and steals (1.4 spg.) while leading the team in free throw percentage (.716) and tying for first in rebounding (5.3 rpg.).
