PHILADELPHIA -- The field hockey team's three-game unbeaten streak ended Tuesday afternoon following Drexel's 2-0 blanking of the Owls. With the loss, the Owls drop to 4-7 on the season.

Offensively, the Owls only posted two shots; one each from senior forward Melissa Fritze and sophomore midfielder Alli Lokey. While neither shot was registered on goal, Dragon goalkeeper Colleen McAndrew went without a save to post her third shutout of the season.

Drexel cracked the scoring 17 minutes into the first half following a Cassie Prentiss and Sarah Gostomski penalty corner feed to senior Rachel Bloemker for her first of two tallies on the afternoon. Bloemker's second goal, and sixth of the season, came off another penalty corner and was, again, set up by both Prentiss and Gostomski with 12 minutes remaining.

With Bloemker's first goal, Owls freshman goalkeeper Erin Hanshue's scoreless streak ended at 235 minutes.

Resuming action on the road, the Owls travel to Rutgers Thursday evening for an 8:00 p.m. start.
