Hannahoe, Lokey, Hanshue Recognized by the NFHCA

PHILADELPHIA - Senior Megan Hannahoe, junior Alli Lokey and sophomore Erin Hanshue have been selected by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) as Division I All-Region honorees. In the Mid-Atlantic Region, Lokey was named to the first team while Hannahoe and Hanshue were second team selections.
"Alli, Erin and Megan were major contributors to our team's success this season and I'm happy to see other coaches recognizing their talent and production," said second-year head coach Amanda Janney. "Our program is well-represented by these three individuals as all-regional performers."
Lokey, a 2006 Atlantic 10 first team selection, led the Owls in points (24), goals (10), shots (62) and game-winning goals (5) while tying for the lead in assists (5). In three overtime contests for the Owls, the junior midfielder supplied the match's decisive tally against Lehigh (8/26), Lafayette (9/24) and Massachusetts (10/6).
Hanshue, playing every minute of the 2006 season in the cage for the Cherry and White, posted career-bests 1.13 goals against average (GAA) and .780 save percentage while stopping 85 shots. The sophomore goalkeeper concluded the season ranked sixth and 11th-nationally in GAA and save percentage, respectively.
Hannahoe posted a career-high nine points on four goals in 2006. In making 20 starts, the senior defender tallied two game-winning goals (10/15 vs. West Chester & 10/22 vs. Saint Louis) and collected two defensive saves.
Following a 2-1 overtime loss in the semifinal round of the Atlantic 10 tournament, the Cherry and White ended the season with a 13-7 overall mark. The 13 wins were the most in the program's history since 1991.
