Salisbery Earns First Big 5 Player Of The Week Honor

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University senior guard Dustin Salisbery has been named Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, December 10. Salisbery averaged 26.0 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals per game as the Owls split two games on the week.

The Lancaster, Pa. native (J.P. McCaskey) shot 50 percent (18-26) from field, 50 percent (6-12) from three-point range, and 71.4 percent (10-14) from line in earning his first Player of the Week honor. In a 76-71 win over Western Michigan, he scored a career-high 34 points on 11-of-19 shooting (4-6, 3PT). In the Owls' 80-71 loss to Cincinnati, he scored 18 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished four assists and made three steals.

He has tallied double figures in all six games this season, averaging 18.7 points per game to rank second in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
