Temple Basketball Debuts Radio/TV Shows This Week

PHILADELPHIA - Temple men's basketball coach Fran Dunphy and women's basketball coach Dawn Staley will be teaming up for radio and television shows starting this week.. The Temple Basketball Show, a 30-minute show on The Big Talker, 1210 WPHT, a 50,000 watt CBS RADIO-owned station, will debut December 4 at 9:30 p.m. It will run every Monday with the exception of Christmas and New Year's Day through March. Inside Temple Basketball a monthly television program, debuts on Comcast SportsNet on Thursday, December 14 at 8:00 p.m. Harry Donahue, the voice of Temple Athletics, will serve as the host for both programs.
"These programs provide a tremendous opportunity to showcase both of our basketball teams," said Temple University Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw. "We have two marquee coaches in Fran Dunphy and Dawn Staley and to have them share the stage on these shows will make for great television and radio."
The Temple Basketball Show will be taped live at 7:00 p.m. at The Draught Horse, located near the corner of 15th and C.B. Moore Avenue.
Inside Temple Basketball, produced by Ken Sellinger of CCI Communications in West Chester, Pa., will have one replay each week and can also be accessed for one week following its initial air date by Comcast's digital cable subscribers via its OnDemand service.
