MARDY COLLINS RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL

-- Temple University senior guard Mardy Collins was released from Temple Hospital on Wednesday in good condition. Doctors determined that his neck injury, suffered in the closing seconds of Tuesday's NIT game against Akron, was not severe. All tests came back negative.


The Philadelphia native will need rest and will be in some discomfort for a week to 10 days. He then will be able to resume his preparation for a career in professional basketball later this month.
