COLLINS, ROBINSON, SHRIER HONORED BY HERB GOOD CLUB

PHILADELPHIA -- Seniors Mardy Collins and Antywane Robinson were named first and second team All-Philadelphia Big 5 with Robinson earning Most Improved Player honors at the 61st Annual Herb Good Basketball Awards Banquet held at Colleen's on the Parkway Monday evening. Longtime Temple publicist Al Shrier also was honored as the recipient of the Bob Vetrone Award for loyalty to the organization.
Collins, who led the Owls in scoring (16.8 ppg.), assists (127) and steals (89), earns first team honors for the second straight year. He was joined on the team by Big 5 MVP Randy Foye of Villanova, Allan Ray and Kyle Lowry of Villanova, Ibrahim Jaaber of Penn and Steven Smith of Villanova.
Robinson, who led the Owls in three-pointers (82) and ranked second in scoring (12.7 ppg.), was joined on the second team by La Salle's Jermaine Thomas, Penn's Mark Zoller, Villanova's Mike Nardi and Chet Stachitas of Saint Joseph's.
Shrier, a longtime officer of the Herb Good Club, is in his 53rd year on the Temple University athletic staff. He currently is serving as Special Assistant to the Director of Athletics after a Hall of Fame career as the University's Sports Information Director.
