TWO MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYERS DECLARED INELIGIBLE

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple University senior Wayne Marshall and junior Mark Tyndale have been declared ineligible to compete on the men's basketball team for the fall semester due to NCAA eligibility guidelines. The two may be eligible for reinstatement following the completion of the semester if they meet NCAA guidelines for eligibility.
Marshall, a 6-11, 285-pound center, averaged. 7.2 points and 4.0 rebounds a game last year. The Philadelphia native (Martin Luther King HS), who played in 24 games with 17 starts, ranked second on the squad with 22 blocked shots while also making 22 steals.
Tyndale, a 6-5, 210-pound guard, led the Owls with a 5.1 rebound average while placing third on the team in scoring (10.9 ppg.). The Philadelphia native (Simon Gratz HS) started all 32 games, ranking second on the team in assists (87), steals (73) and minutes played (36.4 mpg.).
Temple opens its 2006-07 season at Kent State on November 21.
