ERIN HANSHUE NAMED A-10 FIELD HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple sophomore Erin Hanshue has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.  Hanshue posted her first shutout of the season, and sixth of her career, in a 1-0 victory over Rider (9/6).

 

Hanshue, an Atlantic 10 all-rookie team and honorable mention performer from a year ago, boasts a 1.57 GAA, 33 saves, and a .767 save percentage through six games this season.  Despite two losses in the Terrapin Invitational, Hanshue tied a career high with 12 saves against top-ranked Maryland and posted eight stops against 12th-ranked American.

 

Temple field hockey returns to action Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at home against Monmouth.
