Alli Lokey Named Owlsports.com Athlete Of The Month For September

PHILADELPHIA- Senior Alli Lokey has been named Owlsports.com Athlete Of The Month for September 2007. The field hockey team currently holds a 9-4 record entering the month of October. Lokey is currently ranked 15th in the nation for points per game and 22nd for goals per game.
Lokey leads the team this month in points (21), goals (8), shots (55), shots on goal (37), and is tied in assists (5). During play this month, Lokey recorded three game winning goals. Her first game winning goal was against Syracuse, who was ranked 20th in the nation at the time of play. It was the first time Temple field hockey defeated a ranked opponent since 2002 when the Cherry and White beat #16 Delaware, 3-2, in overtime. The other two game winning goals came against Virginia Commonwealth and Drexel.
For her play during the week of September 17, Lokey was awarded Atlantic 10 Co-Player Of The Week and Player Of The Week for womensfieldhockey.com and Owlsports.com. Lokey enters October leading the Atlantic 10 in shots per game, goals per game, points per game, and is tied for second in assists per game.
