Junior Liz Watto received an assist, from now alum Megan Hannahoe, and gave Temple 1-0 lead at the 8:01 mark. The Rams responded less than four minutes before the intermission following a goal from senior Jen Cetenich.
Rhode Island wasted just one minute and 34 seconds of the second half before gaining a one-goal lead after senior Laura Lipski connected with sophomore Jill Powers for the game's eventual decisive tally. Rhode Island junior Annie Kane gave the Rams breathing room and a two-goal cushion at the 55:31 mark of the second half. Sophomore Lexi Mihailides recorded an assist on the afternoon's last goal.
Temple leads Rhode Island in Atlantic 10 statistics with 213 shots, 89 points, 30 goals, 29 assists, 89 saves, and 118 penalty corners.
