Lokey Named Atlantic 10 Player Of The Week For The Second Consecutive Week

PHILADELPHIA- Senior Alli Lokey earns Atlantic 10 Conference field hockey Player Of The Week for the third time this season and for the second consecutive week, the league announced Monday. Temple defeated two Atlantic 10 members this weekend, UMass (2-0) and Rhode Island (6-1). The Owls are now 12-5 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
After her efforts last weekend, Lokey is tied for second in the nation in goals and is second in the nation in points, fifth in points per game, and ninth in goals per game. She leads the Atlantic 10 in goals (15), goals per game (0.88), points (37), points per game (2.18), shots (99), shots per game (5.82), game winning goals (5), and is tied for first in assists (7).
In the win over Rhode Island, Lokey scored four goals and had one assist, making her the first Temple field hockey player to score four goals in a game since 1992. Lokey's four goal performance is the most goals in a game for anyone in the Atlantic 10 this season.
Lokey has 15 goals and 37 points this season. With her 15 goals she has bettered her career single season goal high. She is now ranked 10th on Temple's all-time season records list for goals in a season, which makes her the first player since 1992 to crack the list. Lokey's career 34 goals makes her seventh on Temple's all-time career records list for goals and her 87 points makes her sixth on Temple's all-time career records list for points.
