Bird and Lokey Named To NFHCA Divison I Senior All-Star Game

PHILADELPHIA- All-American candidate Alli Lokey and fellow senior Ashley Bird have been named to the NFHCA Division I Senior All-Star Game, the association announced Monday. The game will be played on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
Bird and Lokey are two of three athletes that will be representing the Atlantic 10 in the all-star game. They will be joined by UMass defender Erin O'Brian.
As an anchor of Temple's defense for four years, Bird has had three goals and two assists this season giving her a career high eight points. She has complied six goals and seven assists in her career. Bird is a three-time member of the NFHCA National Academic Team. An all-around strong player, Bird was named to the 2006 City 6 All-Star team. For the 2006 season, she received Atlantic 10 Second Team and Atlantic 10 All-Academic honors. Bird was also named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Spring 2007.
Lokey has been a vital member of the Temple team for the last four seasons. A three-time Atlantic 10 Player Of The Week this season, she has recorded a career best 15 goals, seven assists, and 37 points this season. She presently leads the Atlantic 10 in eight categories and ranks second in the nation for goals and points. Lokey is a two-time member of the A-10 First Team, A-10 All-Tournament Team, and City 6 field hockey all-start team. A 2006 member of the NFHCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team, Lokey has lead Temple in points and assists the last two seasons. Her 34 career goals and 87 points ranks her seventh on Temple's all-time career goals list and sixth on the all-time career points list.
