Brehm Named Atlantic 10 Player Of The Week

PHILADELPHIA- Sophomore Dannah Brehm was named the Atlantic 10 Player Of The Week for her efforts in the week beginning October 22, the league announced Monday. Brehm netted three goals, including two in the first minute of the second half, to lead the Temple field hockey team to a 4-2 win over Saint Joseph's and the 2007 Atlantic 10 regular season title.
This is Temple's (15-5) first-ever regular season A-10 title, thanks to a 6-1 Conference record. Brehm ranks second in the Atlantic 10 in points (26) and point per game (1.30). She also ranks second on the team in goals, assists, points, and game winning goals. With 9 goals, 8 assists, and 26 points, Brehm set a career high for herself this season.
As the #1 seed, the Cherry and White will have a rematch with the fourth-seeded Saint Joseph's Hawks (10-8, 4-3 A-10) in the A-10 Tournament semifinals on Friday, November 2 at 11:00 a.m. The tournament is being hosted by the Hawks and games will be played on Finnesey Field. Massachusetts and Richmond will play at 2:00 p.m. in the other semifinal. The winners of the semifinals will meet at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3 to decide the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championship.
