PHILADELPHIA- The Temple field hockey team ended its season in the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament semi-finals with a loss against Saint Joseph's, 3-2. The first half started with Saint Joseph's being awarded the first corner of the A-10 tournament. The Hawks sophomore Anna Schreuders sent a shot toward cage that sailed pass Temple defenders and wide to the right side of the cage. Just minutes later the Hawks traveled back into Owl territory for their second corner of the game. Senior Brianne Miller took advantage of this corner. Miller dribbled to the right side of the circle and sent a line drive shot into the back of the cage. The Hawk goal was scored five minutes and thirty-two seconds into the first half and was Miller's fourth goal of the season.

The Owls responded a little more than fifteen minutes later. On a breakaway run into the Hawks circle, sophomore Mandi Ruth crossed the ball to the stick of fellow sophomore Dannah Brehm who tipped the ball into the cage to tie the game with 14 minutes remaining in the half. The goal is Brehm's 10th of the season and fourth against Saint Joseph's this year.

In an action packed first half the Hawks took the score to 2-1 at the 28 minute mark. On the Hawks fifth corner of the game, Schreuders crossed the ball from the right side of the field to the top of the circle where Miller was waiting.
