BOWLING GREEN, OH - Temple travels to Bowling Green Saturday (2:00 p.m./WFIL560 AM) for the first of four games against Mid-American Conference opponents this season. It marks only the second times the teams have met on the hardwood, the last being a 79-70 Temple victory at Bowling Green on December 7, 1983.

The Owls (1-3), under the direction of second-year head coach Fran Dunphy, are coming off a hard-fought 73-69 overtime win over Marist in the seventh-place game of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off Classic Sunday. Senior guard Mark Tyndale made 13 of 14 free throws en route to a game-high 23 points. Junior guard Dionte Christmas, who was one of five players to earn all-tournament honors in the eight-team field, added 15 points while freshman Lavoy Allen (season-high 14 points) and sophomore Ryan Brooks (10 points) also reached double figures.

Christmas and Tyndale, Temple's One-Two Punch, lead the Cherry and White in scoring with 19.5 and 15.8 scoring averages, respectively. Allen tops the team in rebounding (5.3 average) and field goal percentage (.684), while Brooks provides offense off the bench, scoring at a 8.5 ppg. clip.

The Falcons, under the direction of first-year coach Louis Orr, are off to a 3-1 start, including a 69-67 win at Cincinnati in the second of three games at the Peggy Cronin Classic. Bowling Green opened its home portion of its schedule with its last game, a 86-70 win over Morehead State on Nov. 17. Redshirt freshman forward Chris Knight leads the Falcons with a 17.5 scoring average. Junior forward Nate Millers (11.8 ppg.) also averages double figures while senior guard Ryne Hamblett (6.0 apg.) directs the balanced offense.

The Owls complete their two-game Ohio swing with a game at Akron on Monday, November 26 (7:00 p.m.).
